Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 24, 2016 at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Ms. Mildred Louise Feagins, 79, of Youngstown, who departed this life Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at University Hospital in Cleveland.

Ms. Feagins, affectionately known as “Mimi,” was born November 15, 1936 in Youngstown, the oldest of eight children of Sloan M. Sr. and Eva Williams Jones.  She was a 1954 graduate of South High School and retired after 55 years of service from Northside Medical Center. She was a member of Reeds Chapel and served as a Deaconess and was a member of the Gatewood-Watson Missionary Society. In her younger years, Ms. Feagins was an avid roller skater, but later found joy in reading, taking photos, crocheting and sending cards to friends and family members.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Lori Shorter of Youngstown and Karla (Steven) Broadnax of Cleveland; one son, John (Sherri) Shaw III of Texas; six siblings, Sloan (Geraldine) Jones Jr. of Mineral Ridge, Eld. George P. (Altha Jane) Jones of Youngstown, Beverly (Eld. Condridge) Smith of Warren, Att. Reginald E. (Winsome) Jones of Md., Donna L. (Dr. Kenneth) Cowens of Ga. and Gregory K. (Sheryle) Jones of Youngstown; four grandchildren, Deaun (Damien) Little of Youngstown, Justin (Ophallia) Peace of Cleveland, Katherine Shaw and Amanda Shaw, both of Texas; five great-grandchildren; three stepchildren, Bruce E., Michael and Avis Feagins; and a host of other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bruce Feagins; and a brother, Ray Lee Jones Sr.

Friends may call on Monday from 10-11:00 a.m.  at the funeral home.
