Mr. William Smith, 56, of Youngstown departed this life unexpectedly on December 11, 2025 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
Mr. Smith was born January 13, 1969 in Youngstown, a son of Joseph W. and Mary L. Jenkins Smith. William grew up on the Eastside of Youngstown and attended East High School. He was self-employed and self-trained as a visual artist and musician. He was owner/operator of "Master Peace Studio 13/ Inspirational Fine Arts". William had a deep love for visual arts since childhood. He also loved cooking, martial arts, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He was a former member of New Hope Baptist Church.
He leaves to forever cherish his memory, three daughters, Dexelle M. Berger, Xhandae Smith and Xhyaire Smith all of Youngstown; ten grandchildren; his siblings, Joseph W. (Darlene) Smith of Cleveland, Levensky Smith of Youngstown, Charles (Tawanda) Smith of Virginia Beach, VA, and Randell’ (Jessica) Smith of Fort Wayne, IN; a stepbrother, Yut Morris and two stepsisters, Trina and Lacey all of Akron, OH; four nieces, a nephew; and a host of cousins, other family and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepsister, Lucinda Jenkins; and a brother, Dwayne Smith.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
