Ms. Sonya Elizabeth McCoy, 64, of Youngstown, departed this life on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.
Ms. McCoy, affectionately known as “Sime”, was born August 11, 1961 in Youngstown, a daughter of Robert and Ruby Lee Winston McCoy. She was a 1979 graduate of The Rayen School. Sonya had been employed at Towel Supply (now known as Domestic Uniform Rental), and in housekeeping at the Southern Park Mall. She loved her eleven cates, and enjoyed sewing, and entertaining others.
She leaves to cherish her beloved memory her brother, Ronald McCoy, and sisters, Kimberly McCoy and Nikki M. (Kenny) Wilner all of Youngstown; her good friend, Timothy “Peanut” Clinkscale; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Lenwood and Robert McCoy.
Per Sonya’s request there will be no services.
