Skiry Jackson

            Mr. Skiry Jackson, 95, of Youngstown, departed this life Saturday, November 22, 2025.

            Mr. Jackson was born November 19, 1930 in Shiloh, Alabama, a son of Ross and Ollie Anderson Jackson.  He had been employed with L. T. V. Steel, retiring after 31 years of service.  Skiry enjoyed fishing and cooking.

            He leaves to mourn his passing, but to celebrate his life, two sisters, Ollie (Herbert) Williams of Youngstown an Alma (Henry) Wilson of Riverside, CA; a sisters-in-law, Allie Sue Jackson and Katherine Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

            Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Lois G. Tarver whom he married in 1954 and who passed away February 6, 1999; stepson, Eddie Rogers; three sisters, Bessie Smith, Eunice Pettway and Cornelia Pollen; and seven brothers, Robert, Wilbert, Ira, Boss Jr., Sam, Bill and William Jackson.

            Visitation will be Friday, December 5, 2025 from 2:30 – 3:00 p.m. at the L. E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home, 1951 McGuffey Rd., Youngstown. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 3:00 p.m.
