Samara J. Reed

Ms. Samara J. Reed, 54, of Youngstown, peacefully entered eternal rest on December 22, 2025 at OSU. Wex Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio.

Samara was born May 11, 1971 in Youngstown, Ohio a daughter of Vickie Strozier and Earl Reed. She attended Youngstown City Schools and graduated from Wilson High School in1989. She attended New Castle School of Trades for Electrical Training and was employed by General Electric for 25 years.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters; Taylor Burkley and Mara Newell, both of Youngstown; two sisters, Lisa of Youngstown and Aisha of Florida; an Aunt Anita Koch of Austintown; a cousin Carol (Darrell) Quarles of Campbell and her lovable and adorable dog Max. She was preceded in death by her parents.

There will be a viewing for Samara, Thursday, January 8, 2026 from 12:00 -1:00 pm. at L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home, 1951 McGuffey Road, Youngstown, Ohio 44505.
