Mr. Robert Longmire Sr., 84, of Youngstown, departed this life on Monday, April 6, 2026.
Mr. Longmire was born July 3m 1941 in Youngstown, a son of Chester and Costella Franklin Longmire. He had been employed with General Motors Lordstown, retiring after over 25 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local 1112. In his pastime, Robert enjoyed fishing, jazz music, walking and riding his bike through Mill Creek Park, and was an avid Cleveland Cavaliers fan.
He leaves to forever cherish his beloved memory and to celebrate his life and legacy, two sons, Tony Longmire of Boardman and Robert (Yvonne) Longmire of Atlanta, GA; four grandchildren, Resean, Robert, Ryan and Alycia; a great grandson, Leland; his brother, Claudsell (Yvonne) Longmire of Youngstown; very dear friend, Cora Finley of Youngstown; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Lizzie Mullins, Chester and Clinton Longmire, Pauline Glenn, and Lola Owens.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at the L. E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home, 1951 McGuffey Road, Youngstown, OH. A Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 p.m.
