Mr. Percy Lee Barnett, 73, transitioned from his earthly labor, to his heavenly reward on June 2, 2026 at his home. Mr. Barnett was born June 2, 1953 in Youngstown, a son of Charles A. Sr. and Catherine Blanchard Barnett.
He was an East High School Graduate, and attended college for two years. He enlisted into the United States Army in Los Angeles, California, where his SPEC Number, TITLE and YEARS. 26V20 STRATEGIC MICROWAVE SYSTEMS REPAIRER 6 yrs. He had been stationed in Germany. His DECORATIONS, MEDALS AND CITATIONS WERE, RIFLE (EXPERT), GOOD CONDUCT (2ND AWD).
He was reared in New Bethel Baptist Church, he played Guitar in small Bands and loved Gaming Videos. He had been employed by Clark Detrick Metals. He is survived by two sons in Germany, Maurice and Percy , his siblings; William Sr. (Roslyn) Barnett of Tacoma, Washington; Robert Sr. (Linda) Barnett, Karen (James Sr.) Stanford of Youngstown; Nieces; Denise, and Kelly Barnett; Nephews; Glenn (Anitra), Terrance (Marlene), Robert (Alysha),and Raymond Jr. all of Youngstown, and Andre’ (Maria) Cleveland of California, William Jr. (Melanie) of LasVegas Nevada and Kenneth Barnett of Tacoma, Washington, and a God-daughter Brize’ Defoor of Atlanta, Georgia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Christiana Barnett; his siblings: Charles Barnett Jr., Glenn Barnett Sr., Henry Barnett, Beatrice Barnett, Raymond Barnett Sr., and Daryl Barnett. A Memorial Service will be Monday, June 29, 2026, at L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home with visitation at 2:30-3:00 pm. Service at 3:00pm.
