Pastor Miguel Pomales

            Pastor Miguel Pomales, 48, of Youngstown, transitioned to his heavenly reward on Wednesday, October 8, 2025.

            Pastor Pomales was born July 27, 1977 in Paterson, New Jersey, a son of Wilfredo and Elba Carmona Pomales.  He was a full time pastor with the Church of God.  His passion was preaching the Word of God, and spending time with his children and family.

            He leaves to mourn his passing, but to celebrate his life and legacy, his beloved wife, the former Mika Lynn Crump, whom he married October 26, 2013; his father, Wilfredo of Caguas, PR; nine children, Kayla, Joshua, Anthony, Miguel J., Tyler, Elijah, Meiah and Ashley Pomales, and Trinity Barber; 11 grandchildren; siblings, Robert, Edwin, Angelo, and Elba Nieves, Juan, Sara and Will Pomales, and Yahira Infante; and a host of family and friends.

            He was preceded in death by his mother, Elba Pomales; and sister, Ireda Nieves; nephews, I’Lijah Barron Nieves and Joseph Bonsick

            Visitation will be held Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 6 – 7 p.m. for family and 7:00 p.m. for public at the Church of God, 358 Summer Street, Paterson, NJ 07501.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at the church, with graveside services following at 11:00 a.m..

             Local arrangements were entrusted to the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.
