Stanley Jones of Youngstown, OH departed this life and went to his Heavenly home on November 26, 2024 

Stanley Jones was born on July 12th, 1941 in Youngstown, Ohio to Leona and William Jack Jones. Stanley spent 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Hospital Corpsman (Medic).  After the military, Stanley received his Bachler’s Degree from Youngstown State University and a Master’s Degree in Philosophy from Kent State University. 

Stan spent four years as a Certified Lab Assistant at St Joseph’s Hospital; and 27 years as a Certified Medical Lab Technician at Trumbull Memorial Hospital where he retired in 1996.  After retirement, Mr. Jones spent the next 15 years as a State Certified Instructor of Phlebotomy and Medical terminology at Choffin Career Center. He also taught Microbiology for 4 years at National College and spent ten years as a Phlebotomy Instructor and a teacher of Anatomy and Physiology at TCTC before finally retiring in 2016. 

Stanley Jones was the founder and owner of Yozona Martial Arts Karate Club of Youngstown where he taught and instructed Issinru style Karate’. Stan also developed and implemented a Martial Arts program for at-risk children in the Youngstown City Schools after school program.

Stanley and his wife have been members of Victory Church for the past 14 years.  Prior to joining Victory, they and their children were 20-year members of the “Word in Action” church of Campbell (Bishop Wm R. Burney). 

Stanley leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Darlene of 38 years; 4 children; Marcella Jones of Hampton, VA; Stanley Jones Jr (Netrah) of Austintown; Tiffany Yarboro (Justin) of Cleveland and Natale Pierce (Johnathon) of Columbus. Twelve grandchildren (Ashleigh, Mareo, Stan III, Asia, Alexus, Julian, Justus, Myles, T’erron, Corey, Mason, and Maverick); two great grandchildren (Lamont and Ka’lani); 13 sisters and brothers-in-law whom he loved dearly; including a beloved sister-in-law, Ramatha Davis of North Carolina; a host of nieces, nephews and special friends.

Besides his parents and grandparents, Stanley is preceded in death by his brother, Reverend Eldrick Davis of North Carolina.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-3:00 pm, Tuesday December 3, 2024 at Victory Church, 3899 McCartney Rd., Lowellville, OH. Funeral services will begin at 3:00 pm.
