Mr. Jerry Albert Colvin
Jerry Albert Colvin 83 of Youngstown, victoriously entered the Gates of Heaven on January 13, 2025.
Mr. Colvin was born January 1, 1942 in Youngstown, OH to the late Clifton Colvin, Sr., and Arlillian (Gilliam) Colvin-Forte. He was a graduate of East High School. Early in his working career, he worked as a forklift driver for Superior Industries, retiring after 30 years of service. After retiring, he was employed at Allen’s Drugstore as a delivery driver.
Jerry was a member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a trustee and was a member of the male chorus and gospel choir. He had many hobbies but the one he enjoyed the most was bowling. He was a committed family man.
Jerry leaves to cherish his memory as well as his legacy, his wife, Carol; (2) daughters, Sonya (Darren) Thomas of Columbus, OH, and Brenda Booker of Atlanta, GA., (7) grandchildren; (11) great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a stepfather, Albert Forte, four siblings, Clifton Jr., Donald, and William Colvin, and Lucille Jamison.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 10:00 - 11:00 am at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 1210 Himrod Ave, Youngstown, OH 44506, with funeral services to begin at 11:00 am.
