At Austintown Healthcare Center on Sunday, January 26, 2025 Jaabone Monroe Louis Kennedy III, age 73, passed away. He was born in Youngstown on January 13, 1952 to Jabo Monroe Louis Kennedy Jr and Harriet "Jackie" Groomes Kennedy Roseman Hodge.
JaaBone is survived by his daughter, Sommer Kennedy Underwood of FL; nephews, James Andre Kennedy of VA, Anthony Rodgers of OH, niece Kandice Smith of AZ, great niece Cierra Hughes of OH, and other great nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, JaaBone was preceded in death by siblings, Peter Allen Kennedy, Cynthia Renee Kennedy, Oscar Roseman Jr., Juliett Hodge, grandson Isaiah Lamont Underwood and nephew, Christopher Rodgers.
He along with his brother, Peter, spent many days in their early teens working for Feldman Trucking at the Pyatt Street Market unloading truckloads of fruits and vegetables. After graduating South High School in 1971 he went on to proudly and honorably serve his country in the United States Air Force.
He enjoyed sports, especially boxing and, after retiring from the military, successfully trained many local boxers. In his later years he enjoyed attending concerts and watching sports. He will be dearly missed by his friends and family.
