Mina V. Thomas

Mrs. Mina V. Thomas 91, transcended to her Heavenly home on June 25, 2025.

Mrs. Thomas was born October 11, 1933, in Farrell, PA.; the daughter of Marion and Viola Johnson Floyd.  She was a graduate of Farrell High School and Youngstown State University. She was a faithful member of Greater Morris Chapel AME Church where she sang in the Choir and served as an Elder in the church. She loved being with her family. 

She is survived by her son, Carey Thomas of Youngstown, OH; her daughter, Melinda Thomas of Columbus, OH; her granddaughter, Dominique Hiple of Sharon, PA; one great-grand child; her siblings, Mrs. Nora Conyers of Brookfield, OH., Mrs. Ethel Samuels of Sharon, PA, Ms. Mamie Floyd of Buffalo, NY, and Andre Floyd of Youngstown, OH. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; eight siblings; her husband, Florenz “Dickie” Thomas; and an adopted grandchild, Kevin Johnson. 

Visitation will be Monday, July 7, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon at Greater Morris Chapel AME. Church, 926 Darr Ave., Farrell, PA.  Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m.
