Mr. Michael Turner
Michael Turner, 55, born April 2, 1969 in Youngstown, OH and resided in Woodbridge, VA passed away on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024, in his residence.
Michael was a Dean of Students at NOVA. Michael Turner was a member of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity. Michael’s passion for education touched all who knew him. He was an education consultant, a student rights and responsibilities advocate, a dean of students, an associate professor, and an assistant coordinator.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Rosemary and Ladell Turner; brothers Grover Caradine and Willie Caradine (Karen); and grandmother Virginia Paige.
Michael is survived by brother Marion Caradine (Karen) of Cleveland; brothers Michael and Jermaine Turner of Youngstown, OH; sister Shirley Turner of Georgia; sister Gail Walker of Cleveland; sister Linda Turner of Youngstown, OH; and sister Kim Turner of Pennsylvania; and a host of nieces and nephews who considered him the “FUN” uncle!
A memorial is scheduled for Dec. 7, 2024, at L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home; calling hours are 1:30 - 2 pm. Internment will be private at a later date.
