Mary Thomas Obituary

            Mrs. Mary Thomas, 79, of Campbell, Ohio, transitioned on Friday, April 17, 2026 at her home.

            Mrs. Thomas was born September 30, 1946 in Dallas, Alabama, a daughter of Jesse R. and Jonna Mae Williams. Her early childhood was spent in Buffalo, NY. She was reared by Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Jackson of Campbell, OH.  She attended Campbell Memorial High School.  Mary had been employed as a secretary with Big G Construction for ten years, and the Mahoning County Prosecutors office for several years as a secretary.  She was also a nail technician. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where she served in the choir, praise team, and culinary ministry chairperson.  Mary enjoyed walking in Roosevelt Park, social cards, shopping, family reunion committee. She was a fan of Young and the Restless, Bold and the Beautiful, and the New York Giants Football Team.

            She leaves to mourn her passing, but to celebrate her life and legacy, a host of cousins, The Jackson, Anderson, and Brown-Sewell Families; special cousin who assisted her in some of her affairs, Jennifer Jackson; dear friends, Sherry Jennings, Cora Alston, Antoinette Childers and other family, church family and friends.

            Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E., who passed away March 13, 2020; and a brother Ronnie Smith.

            Visitation will be Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Shiloh Baptist Church, 238 Bright Avenue, Campbell, OH  44405.  A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 a.m.

            Ministry of Comfort entrusted to the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.
