Mrs. Mary Ann Poole, 87 of Akron, transitioned to her eternal home on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at the Akron General Hospital.
Mrs. Poole was born June 18, 1937 in West Chester, PA, a daughter of William Edward and Madeline Green Taylor. She was a graduate of Hubbard High School. A self-employed housekeeper, Mary was also a devoted member of the House of Jacob, she was served as secretary, Sunday School Superintendent, Pianist, treasurer, choir director, graduate Bible School and the culinary committee.
She leave to cherish her precious memory, a daughter, Jewel (Thomas) Wilson of Akron; a brother, William (Lurline) Taylor of Youngstown; seven grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold B. Poole, who passed away in 1992; a son, Walter; a sister, Meriam Edwards; and two brothers, Bani and Zelek Taylor.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 9:30 – 10:00 a.m. at the House of Jacob, 2931 Clingan Street, Youngstown, OH 44505. Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m.
