Eldrs. Mary Sue Crum transitioned from this world on Monday, May, 27, 2024 to a place of Peace and Serenity. Eldrs. Crum, was born May 9, 1953 in Ripley Mississippi a daughter of Pat Orel Cox and Lennie Maxwell Cox. She was a homemaker and loved her family. Mary enjoyed all types of music, wrote her own gospel songs and was an accomplished tambourine player. Politically active, she instilled in her children the importance of community involvement and activism. She was a member of The Supreme Council of The House of Jacob, 2931 Clingan Avenue in Youngstown. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband James Crum Jr., her children; James Dale Crum, Tyrone Crum, Lucinda Morgan and James Shawn Crum; her siblings, Irma Washington, Lenora Cox, Rachel Brown, Nathaniel Cox and Phillip Cox; a God Daughter, Charreia Penson; Grandchildren; Shatiqua (Brandon) Lyons, Sasha (Ronald) Berry, Craig Womack, Shatara (Miles) Johnson, Jamesa, Sahara, Jamirah, Chauntice, Chauntiea and James Dale Jr. and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister Sally Cox Bell. Home-going Celebration will be Saturday, June 8, 2024 at 10:00 am at The Supreme Council of The House of Jacob with Period of Visitation 9:00am-10:00am.
