Marilyn Elizabeth Mills

Marilyn Elizabeth Mills, age 82, of Youngstown, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 13, 2025, in the city where she was born and spent much of her life.

Marilyn was born in Youngstown, Ohio, and was a proud 1962 graduate of East High School. She went on to dedicate many years of her life to caring for others, working as a nurse’s aide, where she compassionately administered care to those who were sick and vulnerable. She had a special heart for the elderly and found deep purpose in serving and comforting others during their most difficult moments.

Marilyn was known for her great sense of humor and her ability to share a good laugh. She enjoyed spending her free time playing cards and bowling, activities that reflected both her competitive spirit and her love of companionship. Above all, she cherished family time, especially during the holidays. Christmas held a special place in her heart, and she found her greatest joy in being surrounded by loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Sonny (Eddie Mills) whom she married in 1975, her mother Fannie Turner, Stepfather John Turner, Father Roy Miller and her sister Marcia Miller.

Marilyn leaves behind a loving family who will deeply miss her: her sons Anthony Turner and his wife Tracy of Orlando, Florida, and Eddie Mills and his wife Samantha of Youngstown, Ohio; One Sister, Myrna Hudspeth of Salt Lake City, UT, One brother Roy Miller of Baltimore, MD, a stepsister Marlea Mazyck of Atlanta, GA,  her grandchildren Azariah Turner, Amaris Penn (husband Marc), and Tyrone Mills (wife Christina); her great grandchildren Bella and Anthony and host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Marilyn will be remembered for her kindness, her laughter, her dedication to caring for others, and her unwavering love for her family. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
