Mrs. Luvenia M. Hall Sanders, 88, of Poland, OH, transitioned from this earthly labor to heavenly peace on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.
Mrs. Hall, affectionately known as “Mama Lou”, was born February 11, 1937, a daughter of Frank Sr. and Sallie Davis Hall. She was a graduate of North High School. Luvenia was employed for over 30 years with General Motors Lordstown, retiring in 2000. A devoted member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, for over 55 years, Luvenia was one of the founding members of the church. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She enjoyed baking (especially cookies and cakes), loved vegetable and flower gardening, and was an avid Cleveland Browns fan.
She leaves to cherish her memory and celebrate her life and legacy, two children, Margaret Williams of Poland, OH and Veronica Fleeton of New Springfield, OH; a grandson, Curtis “Spank” Williams of New Springfield; a great granddaughter, Chardonese “Nese” Williams of Illinois; stepchildren, Clifton III (Juanita) Sanders of Youngstown, OH, and Anthony Sanders and family of California; her sister, Olivia Taylor of Las Vegas, NV; her best friends, Rosetta Womack, Mattie Clark, and Sandra Welch; and a host of nieces, nephews, church family, other family and friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Frank Hall, Jr., Jean Tillman, Mildred Fredericks, Ruby Hill and Eleanor Murray.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 20, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, 1210 Himrod Avenue, Youngstown, OH 44506. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m.
