Lucille Scott

            Mrs. Lucille Scott, 101, of Youngstown transitioned from this earthly labor to her eternal home on Tuesday, April 18, 2026 at Willow Woods Nursing Home.

            Mrs. Scott was born November 20, 1924 in Eatonton, Georgia, a daughter of Noel Jones and Mamie Clark.  Lucile was a devoted homemaker and had worked as a cook at St. Elizabeth Hospital for over 15 years.  She was a member Oak Street Missionary Baptist Church, its choir, Mother’s Board, Deaconess and Mission ministries.  Lucille was an avid Bible reader, Prayer Warrior and Intercessor.  She enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, and soap operas.

            She leaves to mourn her passing, but to rejoice and celebrate her blessed life and legacy, her daughter, Robinette Clark Gregory of Youngstown; bonus daughters, Urlene and Charlene; two grandchildren, Alfonso Gregory III of Youngstown and Shalaine Enahora of Chicago, IL; five great grandchildren, Keandre, Alfonso, Keylen, Alasjia, Shymara; and a host of family, church family, and friends.

            Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David; a grandson, Keane D. Gregory; her siblings, Betty  Abram, Beatrice Clark, Elizabeth Hill and Frances Andrews.

            Visitation will be Friday, May 1, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
