Mr. Leonard Ellis, Sr., 60, of Campbell, departed this life on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at his home.
Mr. Ellis was born June 6, 1965 in Youngstown, a son of Garrett Sr. and Zantha Mae Tate Ellis. He was a graduate of East High School and was a U. S. Army veteran. Leonard enjoyed fishing, music, dancing, basketball, grilling, was a neighborhood handyman and loved being with his family and friends.
He leaves to celebrate his life and legacy his father of Youngstown; his son, Leonard Ellis Jr. and his fiancé, Annica; a grandson, Caine Muhsi all of Youngstown; his siblings, Brenda Ellis-Gilford of Cleveland, Garrett (Doreen McBride) Ellis, Jr., and Marlon Ellis both of Youngstown; Troy (Cheryl) Ellis of Zanesville, OH; and Clandra Black of Swartz Creek, MI; a friend, Jada Bonner; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Leonard was preceded in death by his mother.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 1 2025 from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the L. E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home, 1951 McGuffey Road, Youngstown. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m.
