Kyree M. Hornbuckle

Mr. Kyree Marquezes Hornbuckle, 25, of Youngstown, departed this life on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

            Mr. Hornbuckle was born April 20, 2001, a son of Robert A. Hornbuckle and Patrice L. Wright.  He was a 2019 graduate of Mahoning County High School. Kyree worked at several jobs, and lastly at McDonald’s Restaurant.  He had attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church.  He enjoyed art, music, and tinkering with cars.  He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Harlem Globetrotters fan.  However, his passion was the love of his children and family.

            Among others, he leaves to cherish his memory, his father and stepmother, Robert and Brandy Hornbuckle; grandmother, Mary Ann Wright who reared him, all of Youngstown; four children, Kaylian, Kylian, Kyree Jr., and Kylah; his siblings, Joy Brown, Keith Phillips Jr., Lathier Hathman, Robert Hornbuckle Jr, Dionta McCarey, Whitney McCarey, Tamonde Hornbuckle, Ja’Quala Miller, Johanna Walsh, Alexis Williams, Rashawn Hornbuckle, Braylon Hornbuckle, Shavone Hasley, Keisha Moreland, and Tashayla Lunders; grandmother, Rosie Hornbuckle, special cousin, Michael Arroyo; his significant other, Angelina Cochrane, and her children, KJ and Kyiir; and a host of other family and friends.

            He was preceded in death by his mother, Patrice L. Phillips.

            Visitation will be Tuesday, May 12, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 827 Wilson Ave., Youngstown.  Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m.
