Kevin Eugene "KJ" King II

    Celebration of Life services will be held for Kevin Eugene King II, 24, of Niles, who departed this life peacefully in his sleep to be with his Lord on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

            Kevin was born on October 12, 1999 to Nichele Heard-King and Kevin King Sr.  He was a 2018 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School.  He was employed in 2022 by M L King & Associates LLC American Family Insurance where he received his insurance agent license.  He would later be employed by Walmart Corporation in 2023.  He enjoyed basketball and was a fan of the Boston Celtics.  He was also an artistic writer of music and enjoyed rapping and making music in the studio.  Besides music and sports, Kevin enjoyed spending time with his friends and family.  His friends say he was the life of the party and kept them all together.

            Besides his parents and stepmother, Jennifer King, he leaves to cherish his memory his sisters, Kaylyn King who he affectionately called “Boopie” of Youngstown, and Tiara Heard of Charlotte, NC; his brother, Marcus Heard of Youngstown; a niece whom he was so proud of being an uncle to, Paris Noelle Heard of Smithville; paternal grandmother, Carmella King of Youngstown; his aunt, Shannon Heard of Austintown; uncles, Martin (Billie) King of Akron, and Eddie (Yolanda) King of Youngstown; his friends who were more like brothers, Jordan Fountain, Brock Szymanski, and The Budget Boys, David “D-Veg” Vega, Emmanuel “E-Man” Dawkins, and Roddell “Rod” Bebbs; and a host of family and friends.

            Kevin was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Thomas and Felicia Heard; great grandmothers, Viola Heard and Roberta Swearingen; a close cousin, Paris Mitchum; and paternal grandfather, Eddie “Papa” King, Sr.

            Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at New Bethel Baptist Church, 1507 Hillman Street, Youngstown, OH 44507. Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 a.m.
