Kenneth Darnell Franklin

            Mr. Kenneth Darnell Franklin, 71, of Youngstown, departed this life on Friday, November 7, 2025 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital with his family at his side.

            Mr. Franklin was born September 9, 1954 in Youngstown, a son of Clarence Sr. and Thelma Lucas Franklin.  He was a South High School graduate and had been employed with L. T. V. Republic Steel.  He enjoyed karate, loved to ride his motorcycle, lift weights and spend time with his family.

            He leaves to cherish his beloved memory, two sons, Tyranda (Courtney) Franklin of Columbus, Zikome Franklin, and daughter, Afton Franklin both of Youngstown; 9 grandchildren, Tyranda “TJ” Jr, Tyreshia, Mackenzie, Kennedy, Mason, Ian, Isaiah, Isaac and Markette; siblings, Jerome (Beverly) Franklin, Clarence (Sylvia) Franklin Jr., Howard Franklin, Derrick Franklin, Carla Franklin and Cheryle Franklin; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

            He was preceded in death by his parents.

            The family will receive friends on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 3:00 – 3:30 p.m. at the L. E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home.  Memorial services will follow at 3:30 p.m.
