Katie Pearl Fagan

            Katie Pearl Moore-Fagan was born on March 26, 1944, in Moulton, Alabama, to the late Jesse Franklin Moore and Mae Pearl Gibson-Dunn.  She was reared by Alfred T. Dunn.  At just two days old, she and her family relocated to Youngstown, OH.

            Katie was a 1963 graduate of South High School in Youngstown, OH.  She worked for General Motors in Lordstown, OH and later transferred to Delco Remy in Albany, GA in 1979.  After 28 years of dedicated service, she retired.  In 1989, she obtained her Master Cosmetologist license and continued working in the profession until her passing.

            Ted and Katie were married in 1978 and shared 46 years of love.  When he transitioned, her heart was broken, and she wanted nothing more than to simply be with him again.  She was a devoted member of Berachah Fellowship.  Katie loved to shop and was known for her sharp dressing, changing hairstyles ad high heel shoes.  She had a passion for baking; playing board games and card games were part of her weekly routine, including Scribbage, UNO, Rook, and most of all, Spades.

            Along with her parents, Katie was preceded in death by her faithful and loving husband, Theodore L. Fagan; her sisters, Orene Gibson and Birteen Smith; her grandson, Darryl McGhee; and her best friend Georgetta “Cookie” Washington-Coby.

            To continue her legacy, she leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Carlette Moore, Norene (George) Johnson, and Pamela (Leaner) McGee, and her sister, Rosilee Adams; her beloved grandchildren, Darious Moore, Haryl Dabney Jr., Cori (Megan) Blanch, Erich McGee and Kerren McGee; great-grandchildren, Aubrie Dabney, Corinne Blanch, Willow Blanch, Michael Blanch, Reggie Blanch, Wesley Lembrick, Declyn Lembrick, and Amarey Blanch; her cousin who was like a sister, Creasie Hunter, nieces and nephews, and a host of other adopted grandchildren that knew her simply as “Grammie”.

            Services will be held Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Berachah Fellowship Church in Albany, GA.
