Mr. John Franklin Welch

Mr. John Franklin Welch, 76, of Liberty gently closed his eyes on Wednesday. September 3, 2025, and entered into eternal peace.

Mr. Welch was born April 3, 1949 in Boonville, Mississippi, a son of Rev. James A. Welch and Stella Crump Welch. He received his GED and was an Industrial Painter and was self-employed.

He leaves to cherish his memory and to celebrate his life and legacy, his wife of 30 years, Sandra Crenshaw Welch; one son, Brandon L. Welch; a brother, David Welch; two sisters, Gloria Hightower and Lurell Moyer all of Youngstown; a goddaughter, Rose (Anthony) Howze; twelve grandchildren; three great grandchildren and his best friend, Carlson Wilkerson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Newlyn Shawn Welch; four brothers, James (Robert) Jr. Charles, Paul, and Andra Welch.
