Mr. Jerome Lamar Franklin, 77, of Boardman, passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025 at his home with his family at his side.
Mr. Franklin was born October 8, 1948 in Youngstown, a son of Clarence Sr. and Thelma J. Lucas Franklin. He was a 1966 graduate of South High School and after graduation joined the U. S. Army during the Vietnam era. He had been employed with General Motors Lordstown, retiring after more than 30 years of service. He was a former member of Antioch Baptist Church. Jerome loved working on cars (bodywork), Blues music, roller skating and boxing.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former Beverly Ficocelli; four daughters, Delicia Harrison, Angela, Chrissy and Asset Franklin; three brothers, Clarence Jr. (Virginia), Derrick, and Howard Franklin; two sisters, Cheryl and Carla Franklin of Seattle, WA; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and a host of loving family and friends.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:00 p.m.
