Jermaine Antoine Jason "Six" Tillis

Mr. Jermaine Antoine Jason Tillis Sr., 51, of Youngstown, Ohio departed this life on July 11, 2024.

Mr. Tillis, affectionately known as “Six”, was born February 8, 1973, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Linda Tillis and the late Melvin James Green Sr. Jermaine graduated from East High School in 1991 and attended the New Castle School of Trade. He was a lifetime resident of Youngstown Ohio. Jermaine was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan and played in the East Side Broncos peewee football league. His biggest joy was his children and watching them succeed in life. Jermaine also liked spending time with his godfather, Leon Robinson, who he affectionally called “Pops”.

To cherish is memory Jermaine leaves his loving children; Tramaine “Tru”, Jermaine Jr., Za’Quialah, Jermele, JaLayah “Laylay”, Ashley Loggins, and Brittany Tucker; a granddaughter, Aaliyah Nicole Tillis, whom he cherished; siblings, Shawn Tillis, Terrence “Marc” Tillis, Veneda Green “Coodie”, Melvin Green Jr. “Buster”, Jimmy Green, Bertha Green “Wee-Wee”, special friends, Jeanette Loggins, Maxine Jefferson, Shannon Nixon, Tonya Sharpe, Naticia Flores and Prescott Walters; and a host of nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Besides his father, Jermaine was preceded in death by his grandparents,Willie D. Tillis and Bertha Tillis (who helped to rear him), Bertha and David Green Sr.; a sister, Angela E. Green (Nellie), and his niece, Brandi J. Lambert. 

Services will be held at the L.E. Blacks, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home on Friday, July 19, 2024; calling hours 10 to 11 AM and Funeral Service at 11:00 AM. The Services will be Officiated by Minister Linda Hall, Associate at Antioch Baptist Church.
