Mrs. Janis Fay Anderson, 75, of Campbell gently closed her eyes on Thursday May 29, 2025 and was greeted on the other side by Heavens Angels.

Schiavaierlo Hawkins.  Janis was a 1968 graduate of South High School.  She retired after 28 years of service with the Social Security Administration, before becoming employed as an Educational Aide. Janis worked tirelessly for 19 years with the charter school systems, retiring in 2020.  She attended Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church and served her community In her free time. A selfless individual, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life.

Janis enjoyed gardening and social games. She had a sharp eye for a good deal and took great joy in finding the perfect gift or bargain. Her hands were rarely still, her creative spirit shined in everything she did with boundless creativity. Caring for others wasn’t something she did, it was who she was! Her love was felt in every gesture, thoughtful phone call, words of wisdom, and the moments she spent comforting and teaching others.

Janis shared 44 years of marriage with Theodore J. Anderson.Their bond was a true partnership, filled with love, resilience, and unwavering support. A beautiful example of devotion that continues to inspire those who knew them. She leaves to cherish her memory and to celebrate her life and legacy, her husband, Theodore J. Anderson whom she married May 20, 1981. Two sons Earl B. Cato of Youngstown and Theodore J. Anderson III of Texas. 14 grandchildren, four great grandchildren; a sister, Constina Gayles of Youngstown; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
