Helen Darlene Tremble

            Mrs. Helen Darlene Tremble, 82, of Youngstown transitioned from this earthly labor to her heavenly home on Friday, February 7, 2025 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

            Mrs. Tremble was born March 23, 1942 in Powellton, West Virginia, a daughter of Joseph C. Sr. and Ida Lou Carthen Little.  She was a 1960 graduate of East High School.  Helen had been employed with Kmart for 18 years and with Youngstown City Schools as a Behavior Coach for 6 years, retiring in 2005.  She was a member of Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church.  She enjoyed watching soap operas, traveling, shopping and bingo.

            She leaves to cherish her memory, and to celebrate her life and legacy, two children, Alex Dwayne (Sharon) Tremble Sr. of Spring Lake, North Carolina and Erika Tremble (Deacon G); three grandchildren; one great grandson; and her great granddoggie – “Gizmo”; five siblings, Joseph (Carolyn) Little, Jr. of Ravenna, Mable M. Little, Robert “Bobby” Little and Vera “MaeMae” Little all of Youngstown, and Beverly Ann Montanez of Jeffersonville, IN; her childhood friend, Gloria Johnson; godchildren, Beyonce and Kal’el Little, and Major Davis; and a host of loving family and friends.

            Besides her parents and husband, Alexander whom she married October 25, 1960 and who passed away April 18, 2020, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Little and Lynn Little-Hamilton.

            Visitation will be Friday, February 14, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, 920 Dryden Ave., Yo., OH 44505.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon.
