Gloria Danita Atkins

            Ms. Gloria Danita Atkins, 67, transitioned to eternal rest on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at her home with her family at her side.

            Ms. Atkins was born February 21, 1958 in Huntington, West Virginia, a daughter of Clarence T. and Lorraine C. Ward Atkins.  She was a graduate of South Hills High School in Pittsburgh, PA.  A loving and dedicated homemaker, Gloria enjoyed riding motorcycles, shopping, was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan.  She especially enjoyed being with her loving family.

            She leaves to mourn her passing, but to celebrate her life and legacy, four children, Beyyena Atkings, Tawanda Campbell and Larry Carter, Jr. all of Youngstown, and Raymond Keys Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA; her siblings, Clarence Atkins, Jr., Michael Atkins, Terry Atkins, Kevin (Laura) Atkins, Seyautara Atkins and John Atkins; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews;  longtime friend, Derek Culver; and a host of family and dear friends.

            Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jerome Atkins; her sister, Lisa J. Ward; a grandson, Tiawaua Henly; two great grandchildren, Benjamin and Deasia Ross; and two nephews, Kavon World and Martez Ward.

            Visitation will be Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home, 1951 McGuffey Road, Youngstown, OH 44505.  Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m.
