Geraldine Ingram Obituary

            Mrs. Geraldine Ingram, 98, of Youngstown, transitioned to her heavenly home on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

            Mrs. Ingram was born December 26, 1927 in Youngstown, a daughter of William and Ella Stanley Davis.  She was a 1945 graduate of South High School.  Geraldine had worked as a domestic technician and was a loving and devoted homemaker.  She was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, its choir, Sunday School class on Saturday morning and the W. B. Lewis and Stella Bailey Mission.  She was also a babysitter for her family members, and was active with the S.T.A.R.S program with Youngstown City Schools.  She enjoyed singing, sewing, crocheting, and catalog shopping.

            Geraldine leaves to mourn her passing, but to celebrate her life and legacy, her niece, Louella J. “Nunnie” Williams; nephew, Richard Green; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.

            Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Fannie Reed, Katie Pinkney, Jane Brown, Willene Lee, Jeanette Gooden, Mary Louise Richardson and Elizabeth Bright; her brothers, Coleman Davis, Harold Davis, Curtis Davis, Arthur Davis, Louis Davis, William Davis and William W. Davis.

            Visitation will be Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the New Bethel Baptist Church, 1507 Hillman Street, Youngstown.  A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 a.m.

            Arrangements entrusted to the L. E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home.
