Gary Howard Turner

Mr. Gary Howard Turner departed this life on Tuesday, December 9th, 2025 at the Washington Square Veterans Nursing Home in Warren, Ohio. 

He was born on November 7, 1947 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Howard Turner and Christine Thomas.  He was a1970 graduate from The Rayen High School.  After graduation, he joined the Marines and spent time in Viet Nam.  When it came to sports, he  cheered for the  San Francisco 49ers.  He had been employed by Youngstown Sheet & Tube. 

Gary leaves to cherish his memory, his daughters, Tangela Turner and Mia (Temitope) Folarin, Tina Ann Turner, his proxy daughter Melanie Pruitt all of Houston,Texas;  his granddaughters, Audriana(Devon) Malveaux,  Amaria , and Dorian; his grandsons, Maurice Gibbs, Treashawn and Devonte Turner, great grandson Noah and a host of nephews, nieces family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Edward Tony Wallace and Keith Turner; a nephew, Eric Rick Wallace and a great-niece Danuka Bankston. 

A memorial service will be held Tuesday December 23, 2025 with visitation at 1:30pm-2:00pm and memorial service at 2:00pm. at L.E. Black Phillips & Holden Funeral Home
