Fannie Lou Martin

            Ms. Fannie Lou Martin, 90, of Youngstown, transitioned from this life to eternal rest on Monday, July 7, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

            Ms. Martin was born September 28, 1934 in Columbia, SC, a daughter of James W. Sr. and Ella Mae Brooks Rogers.  She had been employed with Mahoning County Job and Family Services, retiring after 20 years of service.  Fannie was a dedicated and faithful member of Temple Emmanuel Seventh Day Adventist Church, its usher ministry and culinary committee.  She enjoyed cooking, and working in her yard with her plants and flowers.

            She leaves to forever cherish her memory, two children, James E. Martin Sr. of Cleveland, and Patricia Ann Martin of Youngstown; 9 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; her sister, Charlotte Gibbs of Youngstown; and a host of family and friends.

            Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Martin; her siblings, Essie Mae Freeman, Barbara L. Robinson, James Jr., Charles, Robert L., James D. and Eugene Rogers; a grandson, Tony Anthony Watkins; and a great grandson, Antwon Martinez.

            Visitation will be Tuesday, July 15, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon at Temple Emmanuel SDA Church, 108 W. Indianola Ave., Youngstown.  Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m.
