Evangelist Irene Grant Obituary

Evangelist Irene Elizabeth Grant 75, gained her wings to her Heavenly Mansion on March 16, 2024 at Dandridge Burgandy Manor.  She was born June 22, 1948 in Birmingham, AL., the daughter of Bennie and Rosetta Booker Scott. She had been a faithful member of Faith Temple Pentecostal Church in Birmingham before moving to Youngstown.  She loved cooking and caring for family.  She leaves to morn her passing her husband Ernest Grant of Birmingham; her son Johnny (Daphne) Scott of Birmingham; her niece Yvonne Eiland of Youngstown with whom she made her home, her sisters; Daisy Long of Birmingham, Ethel Mae Dew of Tacoma WA., Betty Jean Arnprester of Cleveland, OH., and Rebecca Salter of Youngstown; a niece who was like a sister, Geraldine Adams of Birmingham; grand-son Johnny Scott II and grand-daughter Altonelia Scott of Birmingham, great-grandchildren, Math’el and Samelia Toles and Harmoni Gibson.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her siblings; Willie Mae Williams, James Beverly, Charles Curtis Scott, Bennie Scott Sr., Ulysses Scott, Polly Scott, Johnny C. Scott and Abraham Scott.  There will be a calling hour 5:00pm-6:00pm Friday March 22, 2024 at L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home 1951 McGuffey Road.  A funeral service will be held in Birmingham, AL. at a later date.
