Eric Walden, Sr.

      Mr. Eric Walden Sr, 65, was called to his final resting place on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from Mercy Health, St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. 

      Mr. Walden was born June 29, 1960 in Youngstown, Ohio the son of Abraham and Peggy Jones Walden.  He was a Graduate of East High School.  He had been employed at Colonial Manor in the housekeeping department. He also had been a DJ. At Jitso’s and Davis Night Clubs. 

     He leaves to mourn his passing but rejoice in his peace, his beloved partner, Julianne Wellington; three sons, Eric Walden Jr., Michael Abernathy and David Joshua Walden; his siblings, Sisters; Gwendolyn Jones and Sherry Jones; his brothers; Abe Jones and Markus Jones; and a host of nieces and nephews. 

     He was preceded by his Parents; a son James Eric Walden; a brother Willie Jones; a nephew Tavares Jones and a niece Leda Jones. 

     Services of Love and Dignity will be held Friday, May 8, 2026 at L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home 1951 McGuffey Road, Youngstown, Ohio 44505. Visitation will be 12:00 noon- 1:00 p.m. with services starting at 1:00 p.m.
