Elder Alvin J. Ward, Sr.

Elder Alvin J. Ward Sr. 63, transitioned to his heavenly home March 11, 2024.

Alvin was born December 6, 1960 in Pell City Alabama the son of Jessie Sr. and Joie Ward. He had been employed at RMI Titanium for over 20 years. He was a member of Nevel’s Temple where he was an Elder. He loved being with his family and watching Westerns and Law and Order on TV.

He is survived by his wife Sharlene Ward; eight children; Terrell Ingram, Alvin Ward II, Andre Jessie Ward, Aaron Jordan Ward, Alexander James Ward, Sharlie Raymese Ward, Jeanette Joie Ward, and Henry Christopher Ward; his siblings; Shelia Davis, Juanita Graham, Barbara “Bobbie Brown,and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother Anthony Cannon and a sister Belinda Provitt.

A memorial service will be held, Monday March 18, 2024 at 2:00pm at L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home, 1951 McGuffey Road.
