Dr. Edward Twyman affectionately known as "Eddie" born February 2, 1951, in Rochester, Pennsylvania, to Kenneth Twyman and Mildred Carter, passed away peacefully under the care of his sisters and children on March 18, 2026. No matter his battle with cancer, there wasn't a day that Eddie wouldn't proclaim "Everyday was a good day"
A graduate of the South High School Class of 1969, he continued his studies at Youngstown State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Master of Education degree in Counseling.
He further went on to receive his Doctorate of Education in Higher Education Administration at The University of Akron. Eddie was also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., Beta Pi Chapter.
Eddie was a devoted father to his son, Darius (Diana) Twyman (Strongsville, Ohio), and his daughter, Tia Twyman (Youngstown, Ohio). A loving brother to, Loretta Paramore (Youngstown, Ohio), Dr. Tanya Twyman (Pearl City, Hawaii), Darlene Twyman of (Hampton, Georgia), Denise (Orbie) Jackson (Youngstown, Ohio), Beverly Twyman (Tampa, Florida), and Sherri Prince (New Philadelphia, Ohio), and bonus brother Robert (Eranie) Carter (Cortland, Ohio); a dedicated granddad to his granddaughters, Nahlia and Zahara Twyman, a loving uncle, cousin, nephew and friend to many. Edward is survived by his aunt, Rose Beverly Bryant; uncle, Ronell (Fairy Mae) Carte,r and many other loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mildred Twyman; his father, Kenneth Twyman; uncles, Lumpford Jr, Edward, Ronald and Robert "Bobby" Carter; brother, Kenneth "Kenny" Twyman; sister-in-Law, Eranie Carter; niece, Kania Twyman; and nephew, Kendall White.
His spirit will live forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to the funeral viewing on Saturday, March 28th, 2026 at 9 a.m., with the service immediately following at Christ Centered Church 3300 Hudson Ave. Youngstown OH 44511.
