Diane McGee (MaDear), age 83, transitioned to rest on November 4, 2025.
Diane was born November 2, 1942, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Samuel and Mamie Hughey.
She retired from Omni Manor where she worked in the Housekeeping Department. Spending time with her family always brought her heart great enjoyment, as she would cook her delicious fried chicken, greens and macaroni and cheese for everyone. She enjoyed watching her favorite T.V. shows (Gunsmoke, Family Feud, Chicago Fire Series, Court Shows, and The Bold and The Beautiful).
Diane’s greatest gift and legacy that she leaves her family with is how to be a loving friend and to help those that need help. Diane lived by and taught her children that God will not put on you any more than you can bear.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Billy McGee (Katrina) of Youngstown, OH, Michael McGee of Columbus, OH, a daughter Sheri (Kenny) Crump of Columbus, OH; three grand-daughers, Tysha, Shanique and Mi’Kaela; seven grand-sons, Vincent, Kenny (Christina), Dwaun (Brittany),Louis, Marquis, Michael, Jasiah; (17) great-grandchildren, one Sister-in-Law (love), Ethel Hughey and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Louis McGee; six brothers, Richard, James, Edward, Clifton,Sr., Otto, Sr., and Ronald; two sisters, Mrs. Lee Tynes and Mrs. Elizabeth Williams.
