David Alan "Daybo" "Bo" Brown, Sr.

In the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 15th, 2025, at 2:13 a.m., God sent his angels to guide Mr. David Alan Brown Sr., 45, affectionately known as Bo, of Youngstown, OH, to eternal rest at the Mercy Health Youngstown Campus.

Mr. Brown was born May 3rd, 1979, in Youngstown, OH, a son of Thelma L. Brown and Arthur L. Finley. He attended The Rayen School, but because of health issues, he later received his diploma from the Life Skills Center in 2001.  Mr. Brown was a former member of the Union Baptist Church. He played wheelchair basketball for the Youngstown Chapter of the YMCA, winning several championships until the league dissolved in 2011.  Mr. Brown was an avid University of Michigan and Las Vegas Raiders football fan. He also enjoyed fishing, dancing, reading, and serving as the gardener at his apartment complex. He was always the life of the party.

Mr. Brown leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Thelma L. Brown of Liberty Township, OH; his son, David Alan (DJ) Brown Jr. of Dayton, OH; his stepchildren, James Jones Jr. Dayton, OH; Rashawn, Raheem, Rondell, Ryan, Raymel, Ryland, and Ravienna all Youngstown, OH; his siblings Derrick L. (Alexis) Brown, Darrell L. Brown of Youngstown, OH; Dominick L. Brown of Liberty Township, OH; Vincent Tarver of Warren, OH; Luther Finley of Youngstown, OH; Timothy Richmond of Columbus, OH; Melissa Tarver of Youngstown, OH; and Celestine Tarver of Toledo, OH; his step-mother Carol Finley of Youngstown, OH; his fur cats Mya and Queen, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends that loved him dearly.

Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his father, Arthur L. Finley, two brothers, Arthur L. Tarver and Lucas Finley, and his grandparents, Rosa B. Brown and Levester Adger and Arthur L. (Hattie Mae) Finley.

Calling hours will be Saturday, January 25th, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Union Baptist Church, 528 Lincoln Ave, Youngstown, OH 44502, and the Celebration of Life will begin at 11:30 a.m.
