Courtney Martin

            Mr. Courtney Martin, 65, of Youngstown, departed this life Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

            Mr. Martin was born December 28, 1959 in Youngstown, a son of Samuel J. and Louise James Martin.  He was a 1977 graduate of Struthers High School.  He had been employed for years as a clerk with Sandels Pawn Shop in downtown Youngstown.  He enjoyed playing chess, meeting people and walked on his hands. He also loved to play basketball and boxing.

            He leaves to cherish his memory, his brother, Arthur Martin of the Philippines; his sisters, Sandra Jackson of Las Vegas, NV and Annette Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends

            He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Gregory and Darrel Martin.

            Visitation will be Saturday, May 10, 2025 from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the L. E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home.   Funeral services will follow at 4:00 p.m.
