Mrs. Cheryl Lynn Byler, 62, of Farrell, PA. transitioned from this earthly labor to her heavenly home on Friday, January 17, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Byler, lovingly known as “Poo-na”, was born in Sharon, PA. a daughter of Raymond Sr. and Mae T. Green Ousley. She was a 1980 graduate of Farrell High School. She was a homemaker and had worked as a nurses aide at the John 23rd Nursing Home. Cheryl was a member of Community Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Nurses Guild and choir. She enjoyed fishing, going to the lake, shopping, traveling and social games.
She leaves to mourn her passing, and to rejoice in her life and legacy, her mother, her beloved husband, Eugene “Dinky”, whom she married June 12, 1993; a son-in-love, Curtis A. (Samantha) Jones of Hermitage, PA; four granddaughters, Vinaya, Kristin, Mya and Arianna; her siblings, Raymond Ousley, Jr. of Sharon, PA, John (Dawn) Ousley and Ruth Rawlins both of Hermitage, PA; niece, Chauntise Ousley who was raised with her; nephews, Bryant Fleming and Everton Rawlins, II; her furry companion “Bear”; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family, church family and friends.
Besides her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Carmen R. Fleming.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 25, 2025 from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. at the Community Missionary Baptist Church, 1013 Emerson Ave., Farrell, PA. 16121. A celebration of life will follow at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Troy D. Hunter will be officiating.
