Carl Michael Gilchrist

            Mr. Carl Michael Gilchrist, 67, of Youngstown, transitioned from this earthly labor to his heavenly reward on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at. Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

            Mr. Gilchrist was born February 22, 1957 in Philadelphia, PA, a son of James K. and Lydia M. Saunders Gilchrist.  He was a member of Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church.  Carl favored super heroes, comic books and money.  A loving and happy gentleman, Carl always had a smile.

            He leaves to mourn his passing, but to rejoice in his eternal peace, two brothers, Kenneth (Amina) Gilchrist of Elsmere, Delaware and Eld. Craig (Quen) Gilchrist of Youngstown; his sister, Kimberly (David) Lara of Philadelphia, PA; and a host of loving family and friends.

            Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cynthia Gilchrist; and sister-in-love, Glenda Gilchrist.

            Visitation will be Friday, August 9, 2024 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.   Funeral services will follow immediately at 11:00 a.m.
