Mr. Brian Lavell Frost, 50, of Houghton, Louisiana gained his wings to fly away to heaven on August 1, 2025.
Brian, affectionately known as “Boudgie”, was born May 29, 1975, a son of Barbara L. Frost and Ira Edwards. He had played football with the Northside Knights Little League Organization. He was a 1993 graduate of South High School. Brian was a United States Air Force veteran having served from 1993 to 1996. Among his many achievements, he received the Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Training Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award. He was presently employed as a Senior Production Coordinator with Hardware Resources in Louisiana where he had been employed for 14 years. Brian enjoyed fishing, traveling, and being with his loving family and friends. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan.
He leaves to mourn his passing, but to celebrate his life and legacy, his mother of Youngstown; his father of Akron; his children, Shana Howell of Columbus, Brianna Frost of Atlanta, GA, Khairiq Frost, Kourtney Frost, Kira Frost, Eliza Frost all of Louisiana; his bonus son, Elijah Lawson of Louisiana; four grandchildren; siblings, Leanne Frost, Leatrice “Courtney” Edwards, and Lindsey Edwards, Ira Cross all of Youngstown, Alisa Frost of Detroit, MI, Chithea (Michael) Nored of Texas; former spouse, Tecia Brown; his companion, Erica Johnson; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other family and friends.
Brian was greeted at the Heavenly Gate by his grandparents, Percy and Clara Frost; his aunts, Jacqueline Scott and Doris J. Higgins.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 827 Wilson Avenue, Youngstown, OH 44506. A celebration of his life will follow at 10:00 a.m.
