Billy Ray Jackson

            Mr. Billy Ray Jackson, 75, of Youngstown, transitioned from his earthly labor to heavenly home on Friday, September 13, 2024.

            Mr. Jackson was born October 25, 1948 in Frisco City, Alabama, a son of Drell and Ethel Walden Jackson.  Billy received his education in Frisco City; obtained his CDL license and attended New Castle School of Trades where he received his certification for the electrical field.  He had worked at Comprehensive Logistics for over 7 years, retiring May 11, 2018.  He was a U. S. Navy veteran.

            Mr. Jackson was a member of Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church, its usher ministry and security team.  He enjoyed motorcycles, landscaping and automobiles.  He was an avid Cleveland Browns and LeBron James fan.

            He leaves to mourn his passing, but to celebrate his life and legacy, his devoted wife, the former Sadie Tucker, whom he married June 27, 1998; a daughter, Bianca M. Lewis of Cleveland; a sister, Lisa (Bobby) Jackson-James of Toledo; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews; other family, church family and friends.

            Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Billy R. Gordon; a brother, Johnny Lett; three sisters, Ann Jackson, Jane Smith and Belinda Jackson.

            Visitation will be Wednesday, September 25, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Church, 1812 Oak Hill Ave.  A celebration of his Life will follow at 11:00 a.m.
