Annette Rozenblad was born on November 23, 1957, in Panama City, Florida. She was the daughter of Julius Fredrick Rozenblad Sr. and Ruth Edna McCray. Annette was the youngest girl of five siblings.

Annette graduated from East High School, Youngstown Ohio in 1976 and later obtained a degree in Data Processing from Penn College. She worked as a nurse assistant at Heritage Manor for 25 years, prior to retiring in 2009. While she never married nor had children, she took on the role graciously of acting as a second mom to her nieces, nephews, and godchildren. She served a role as a full-time caregiver to both of her parents while she worked as well.

She was a faithful member of Kingdom Nations Church, Atlanta Georgia and assumed a role as “Prophetess Annette” in her time with the church.

Annette lived her life full of joy. Her pleasant and vivacious personality and desire to help others was generously felt by her family, friends and even strangers. She was always willing to serve those in need and one of the things she enjoyed most in her service to others was cooking. She would be quick to offer a warm, home-cooked meal to anyone that needed it, never asking for anything in return. Annette was also an avid pet lover and especially loved cats including her cat “Gracie.”

She also enjoyed traveling and spent many years going on cruises in the Caribbean with her mother Ruth, sister Glenda and other family and friends. She traveled several years to the mountains of Ludlow, Pennsylvania with close friends for spiritual retreats. Annette also took summer trips to Panama City, Florida for several years to spend time with close family there as well. She did not let things hold her back from getting out and seeing more of the world and would enjoy sharing stories of her many adventures from her various cruises and trips. She also enjoyed shopping for fancy purses, hats, and jewelry.

Annette was affectionately called “Nette,” “Nette Nette” and “Netty Boo” by those closest to her. She was someone always willing to lend an ear to listen and encourage others as well as share testimonies of her own firsthand experiences to lift others up. Her strong faith and love for God reflected in all that she did, and she had compassion that remained in her heart. One of her greatest joys in life she had was taking care of her nieces and nephews and she would do all that she could to make sure that they all had what they needed.

Annette leaves to mourn in her passing but revel in her peace, three siblings, Glenda (Johnnie Jr) Williams of Boardman, Ohio, Julius Fredrick (Ruby) Rozenblad Jr. of New Bern, North Carolina and James Rozenblad of Youngstown OH; four nieces, Arisha Williams, Tamika Williams, Jasmine Andrade, and Rachael Rozenblad; three nephews Timothy Williams, Johnnie Williams III, and Marcus Burt; one great -niece Azyah Rozenblad; three great- nephews Darien Williams, Amari Williams and JaSean Rozenblad; one great- great -niece Aviana Williams; godson Jamil Wilkins; long- time friend Joann Phillips Wilson; family friend (like a mother) Laura Green; a close friend (like a sister), Pauline Tyson, and a number of cousins, special girlfriends, and other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, brother Tyrone, niece Christal, nephew James Rozenblad Jr., and other close aunts and uncles.

Her infectious laugh and bright smile will always remind us of how sweet life is and to never lose faith in God. Live, Laugh and Love was a motto that she lived by, and she will never be forgotten.

Annette’s family invites everyone to celebrate her life, 11 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2024, at Rising Star Baptist Church in Youngstown, OH with calling hours from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church.
