Addie Jones

Services will be held 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at the L.E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Mrs. Addie Jones Martin, 76 of Youngstown, who departed this life April 29, 2019 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Mrs. Jones was born Feb. 1, 1943, in McNeil, Ark., a daughter of Will and Lula Weaver Jones.  She loved shopping, cooking, traveling, being with her family and having Bar-B-Que cookouts. She had been employed at Garlands Bar-B-Que.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Terraine (William) Long, with whom she made her home, and Tasha Jones of Columbus; two sisters, Mary Hopson of Chicago and Muffae Lightning of Youngstown; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  The family would like to express special thanks to Barbara Williams for her love and support.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Howard Martin; her daughter, Crystal Jones Martin; a brother, George Jones; and two sisters, Willa Mae Johnson and Lucinda Daniels.

Friends may call one hour prior to the services 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
