Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 21, 2017 at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home for Mr. Thomas H. Johnson, 76, of Cleveland, who departed this life Monday, August 14, 2017 at the Sunrise Nursing Home in Maple Heights, Ohio.

Mr. Johnson was born February 18, 1941 in Attalla, Alabama, a son of Marion and Mary Cylar Johnson and reared in Youngstown.  He was a 1959 graduate of North High School and was a U. S. Navy veteran.  He had been employed with Ford Motor Company as an assembler; was a licensed cosmetologist; realtor; and entrepreneur of numerous businesses.  He enjoyed a variety of sports. 

He leaves to cherish his memories, his son, John E. Johnson of Texas; a sister, Eunice R. Smith of Richmond, VA; three brothers, Willie J. (Eileen) Johnson of Virginia Beach, VA, James O. McKinney of Youngstown and Terry (Alicia) McKinney of Canfield; several grandchildren, great grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father; mother and stepfather, Mary and Lance McKinney (who raised him); brother, Charles R. McKinney.
