Stephen A. Jones

Services will be 11:00am Monday May 14, 2018 at L. E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home for Mr. Stephen A. Jones, 67 who departed this life May 9.  Mr. Jones was born June 6, 1950 in Notasulga, Al. a son of Leroy Sr. and Janie Mae Miller Jones.  He was a graduate of Brookfield High School and had been employed by Wheatland Tube for 441/2 years retiring January 2018.  He loved fishing, painting, working on cars, traveling, wood-working, casinos, and going to the movies.  He loved being with his family and his grandchildren.                   He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 41 years the former Hazel Phillips; four children Joyanne M. (Ramon) Cox, Jermaine (Stephanie) Phillips, Stephen J. (Melissa) Jones and Stacey (Lisa) Jones; a sister Connie Nicholson; three brothers, Ed Lee (Katherine) Jones, Paul (Sherry) Jones and Leroy Jr. (Rose) Jones; ten grandchildren Corbin, Cole, Alexandra, Cassandra, Karsyn, Jada, Camille, Sage, Madison and Bryson; and a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Arthur and Tommie Jones and his mother-in-law Minnette Phillips.  Friends may call one hour prior to the service 10-11:00am at the funeral home.
