Services will be 11:00am Saturday October 7, 2017 at L.E. Black, Phillips and Holden Funeral Home for Mr. Robert C.  Spragling 75, who departed this life September 28, 2017 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Medical Center. 

Mr. Spragling was born June 5, 1942 in Yantley, Ala., a son of RD and Dinah Mae Ridgeway Spragling.  He was known by family and loved ones as “R C”.  He was a1962 graduate of South High School.  He had been employed by U.S. Steel and GLG Industries as a heavy Equipment Operator and retired from GLG in 2012.  He enjoyed collecting scrap materials, gardening and being with family.  He was also an avid boxing fan.                                                                                                                                   

He is survived by his loving wife the former Crystal Heath whom he married June 10, 2004; four daughters Tracy (Alan) Lott of Port Deposit, MD., Tina (Julius) Thomas of Austintown, Scherry Perry of Warren and Latasha Colmon of Youngstown; eight sons Robert “Bobby” Mann of Atlanta, Brian Mann of Columbus, LaVall Taylor, Lamott Spragling , Robert Spragling Jr., Michael and Marcell Mims all of Youngstown and Carmen Craig of Farrell, PA. and Madison Colmon of New Castle;  a brother Jesse (Deborah) Spragling of Youngstown; 28 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews other relatives and friends.                                                                                                            

He was preceded in death by his parents.  Friends may call one hour prior to the services 10-11:00am at the funeral home.
