Robert L. Mills Jr., 70, died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017.

He was born Aug. 1, 1947, in Swainsboro, Ga., a son of Robert L. Sr. and Albie Cross Mills.

He was employed with U. S. Steel, Youngstown Welding and Engineering, and was an independent contractor. He was a U. S. Army veteran, serving during Vietnam and was a member of The True Light Army Church.

He is survived by his wife, Clara M. Jones Mills; two daughters, Latoya Frazier of Warren and Nicole E. Mills of Girard; three sons, Ramon Taylor of Ohio, Michael J. Mills of Girard and Victor Mazeyk of Atlanta; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; five sisters, Darla Adams of Pennsylvania, Mayola Mills Gatling of Austintown, Lillian Mills of Girard, Loretta Mills of Liberty and Wanda Mills of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and one brother, Michael L. Mills of Girard.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

Calling hours will be 9 to 10 a.m. prior to a 10 a.m. service Saturday at the L. E. Black, Phillips & Holden Funeral Home.
